travis had a birthday, shout hooray! i wasn't sure what i was going to do for his birthday at first, but once i started planning- i couldn't stop! travis is too cool to only have a one-day birthday, so i gave him a whole weekend. it was the best weekend of my life!

fun fact: i ran around frantically to do all of this before travis came home from work. blowing up all of those balloons by myself = useless/tired lauren all day long. i was a worn out sack of lard!
for birthday surprise #2 travis received his first brown paper package tied up with string.
sunglasses, a swim suit and tickets to go canoeing the next day! woooooo!
fun fact #2 due to the rain that graced us all weekend long, the lakes were flooded, and the trip was canceled. canoe quadrant = LAME. the only lake that wasn't flooded had a triathlon happening that day. could you imagine us canoeing alongside the swimmers? i could. i was ready and willing. and really excited to canoe. {sad face}
for birthday surprise #10* i proclaimed to travis exactly what i loved about him.
fun fact #3 i actually went back & added three times as many post-its seen here. at first i thought i was done, but i realized that i had more things to write on my post-its! that's when i know i have an incredible guy--when you can't stop thinking of ways he's wonderful. {cheers!}

birthday surprise #13 we hit up buffalo wild wings {our favorite ever!} for wing night.
*birthday surprises 3-9 were silly, little things strewn out across the weekend. a few of them were presents {including that honking TV!}, one of them was a dance & song {performed by yours truly}, one was absolute free time to study without being bothered by the wife {i'm so terribly kind, huh?}, and one is inappropriate to blog about.
basically this was the best birthday weekend of my life!
