thoughts

baby

thanks for all of your well wishes, you all are the absolute sweetest.
t & i have been waiting patiently {and sometimes not so patiently} for this little babe for a little while now! we definitely were not one of those couples that skipped the birth control once and said "whoops! we're pregnant!". at least for us though, i think Heavenly Father knew that we needed that time, the time of trying and missing and trying again. getting so frustrated and a little bit heartbroken and thinking, even just for a few months, "is there something wrong with me"? i think He knew that i needed to go through that time, so that i could learn to depend on Travis more than i ever have before; not only physically, but emotionally and in every other way.
for friends of mine & those of you who have followed peace love lauren for some time now, you know how very much motherhood has always been on my mind. really, even before the whole travis & falling madly in love & marriage thing ever came in to my life. i have always, forever, everyday wanted to improve myself to be the best daughter of God, the best wife, and the best mother i possibly can be. if i'm being honest here, i will say that motherhood is the calling that i hold most dear to my heart. i yearn to be a good mother. i yearn to teach our children right from wrong, to love one another, and to come unto Christ. i yearn to teach them how to truly love, and i'll start by loving their father every single day.
and it'll all start with this tiny, wiggly baby inside of me. this little bundle of life that travis & i already love more than anything. it all starts now.
we are deeply, deeply excited.
xo lauren

new to the blog!

this is really exciting and you two seem like such a sweet couple. you seem like you'll be such great parents. the pacifier is so funny and cute.

from what i can see, you haven't been married TOO long and i just want to remind you that there are so many couples who try for so, so, so long to get pregnant and have to go through so many appointments, medications and surgeries. i know you are not trying to say you are in their shoes, and you did get a little taste of how hard that can be for the few months you didn't get pregnant. but just be aware of the women who really do "have something wrong with them" conception typically takes 6 month to a year when you start trying (and usually longer when you've been on bc) i am not trying to attack you in any way, i just could see this being painful for women who really can't get pregnant to read.

I'm new to your blog and I am so excited to see that you are expecting! You are such a cute girl and being pregnant and having a little baby is the best! My little baby girl will be a year old this month! It goes by SO fast. It took us almost a year to get pregnant with her and I totally understand what you mean. Being a mother is what I've always wanted, and it was so devastating to have to wait even one month to get pregnant and get our baby here. Good luck with everything! Motherhood is the best!
