A Girly Weekend

last weekend, my hubbins went hunting. woe was me!
my lips missed his lips muy mucho,
but i managed to have some fun all my own.

i roadtripped to Rexburg for da weekend!

a solo drive made possible by Alice Cooper's School's Out album, a bag of choco chips & alot of pink on my part. holla!

this is why, of all places, i chose to vacay in dinky rexburg, idaho:
i love my semi-ex room girls with a passion for fashion.
semi-ex because they'll always be my bffs
though i did in fact upgrade to a room mate of the male variety. a hot one. mmm.

our first adventure was to Sammy's, a little gem of a restaurant.
there are only two in Rexburg & Provo, and boy howdy was everything made with love.
it included vintage everything {including cash register- see?}
and a stage for local bands to play.
also, i think the uniform for boys included skinny jeans, Toms and beanies. just an observation.

favorite part: pie shakes.
they take a piece of pie, and blend it into a cup of ice cream. genius!
why didn't i think of that?

afterwards, while hopped up on the simplistic genius of pie shakes,
we got a little silly.
tis our attempt at a human pyramid.
we forgot a fifth person...
sporadic shouts of  "CUBE! CUBE!" came from our direction until we toppled over laughing at how funny we thought we were. seriously though. we are hilarous.

then saturday came, and we had i picnic in Porter Park with yummy calzones!
i love me some fried anything, man. mmm.
tiana {hottie in the back} looks like a barbie.
if only for her hotness,
and her apparently stiff arm. {love you chan}

that night i met up with some old schooly friends & rocked a kareoke club!
nervous? yes.
we sang that french song that no one actually knows the lyrics to.
you know the one. "oo ooo voo koo say a le wah, se squa."
or whatever. hahaha

rach & i threw out a little shania twain
& i got a little jiggy with it!
shania speaks to my soul.
sometimes. not all the time! unfortunately, country music holds no place in my heart.
trav can attest to this.

ohhhh best part? the owners passed out sharpies to the guests.
it was heaven.
cool idea! when i grow up, i am DOING THIS in my bathroom. or somewhere. cha.

& then Sunday came, and i realized that i missed my Travie poo more than i could bare.
& i tripped home.
but not before taking power ranger pictures like these:

aww precious. yes, i am awkwardly short.
take a page out of my book & fuhgeddabodit!
feigned ignorance slash denial is bliss.

last weekend was a lovely affair,
i enjoyed every minute of my girly time.
peace&love

gooooooood morning!

I woke up this morning to a kiss from the husband,
and 2 whole glorious hours before I even think about leaving for school!
We moved in to our new apartment this week.
It's a brick {duh-nuh-nuh-nuh} HOUSE! && it's super cute & spacious.
& we can steal internet from duh neighbors. holla-lujah!

right now, it's a mess of empty boxes from wedding gifts {thank you very much, bee tea dubs}
& my clothing. strewn everywhere.
it vaguely resembles a memory i have from freshman year...
hahahaa. Oh how i miss BYU-I.
my favorite girls have all moved-in and cute-ified their apartments by now! my heart is yearning for them!
& for katie's bottom. katie has the NICEST booty ev-ah. like whoa. & madiSON's smoker laugh.
& MOgan's sweat pants. & Chana's handstand tendencies. oh man.

anyway, once I get a working camera i will post pictures of duh apartment!
and they will be attractive.
holla.

ohhh side note:
we bought a printer.
it's big, bulky & black.
i named her LoNiqua.
& i like her.

The semester is coming to a close...

& 218 is running out of supplies. no one feels like buying more! silly little nubs...
i've been living off of Zattarans & pretzels for a year it seems
madiSONs been rockin the ritz & hashbrowns for a while
& MO-gan has had to resort to corndogs & mac n cheese...
oh wait...!
she always eats like that.
looooooove your face mo ♥

anyway.
no food, no dishwasher soap, no garbage liners, no stuff!
we ran out of toilet paper last week.
but did we buy more?

no.
the campus' public restrooms have a lovely supply, after all.
{smirks & giggles mischievously)

Haven't read Our Engagement Story yet?

today, it was arizona.

Sunny & smily.
We were so starved for summer... we sunbathed in 45 degree weather,
& didn't even catch a chill.
Anyone think i've been in Rexburg for too long??

Back to 218... it's always an adventure.

For the last few weeks before the semester ends my room girls & I decided to move all of our beds into one room and have a three-week-long sleepover. So far it has led to hefty amounts of giggles, snores, Bubbleshooter championships, forking German Chocolate cake out of the pan, little boy tatoos, and TONS of scripture study sessions.

Mandi fell between the cracks! I love my girls so dearly.

I guess having been at home for the past week... Trav kinda missed me. I came back to school to find a trail of Hershey's kisses leading to THIS! A love fern. It was Madi and Jet's idea, but I feel uber loved all the same. Hopefully I can remember to water it and all that jazz!

218

My apartment is HOT.
The Common Room-- where we have nail parties, fork funfetti cake out of the pan, and have boys over to pin corn dogs to our ceilings.

and... My room ♥
Complete with a label, long board, and plentiful helpings of pink.

By the way...

I've been up at school for almost three months now. It's kinda hard for a girl to blog though, if she doesn't have her own computer. Wanna know the absolute BEST, most invigorating part about college?
I adore my room mates. Every last one of them ♥
So although I am not musically gifted at all, here is an ode to them.

Madi-SON (say it like she Asian, it's more fun.) is the marshmallow spread in my pb&j. She's my room roomie and we fit together like two hand-stitched gloves from Anthropologie. She has a sarcastic side of her, and it's just hilarious. She played the tuba in high school and has a keen sense of self. She knows who she is and what she wants, and when she laughs it's as though she's been a smoker for fifty years.
Adrienne is six feet tall. She rides show horses and has short black hair that makes her look like Cleopatra. She is the friendliest girl, the kind of girl that's good at almost anything she tries, Adrienne has an exotic confidence all her own. She has a way with boys and goes on a date with a new boy every other weekend.
Mandi has one blonde streak in her hair. I find it attractive. Mandi is a convert to the church, and I am so grateful for the many things she teaches me every day. Mandi comes from a family life you couldn't even make a soap opera about-- there are too many character changes. Mandi talks really fast when she gets excited, and she surrounds herself with Hello Kitty.
Katie is our elected Molly Mormon from Provo. She has long brown hair, a light in her eyes, and I love the certain way she moves her fingers when she talks. She's hands down the best cook in our apartment. Katie has a bff type relationship with Elaine S. Dalton, and is always the one to turn to a fireside to make her feel better (while others would just turn to chocolate).
Ti-ANA (there in the Ammmmazon!) is my fellow Arizonan. Quiet at first, Tia is a dancer and has a hot body. She does handstands all around the apartment, because they make her feel better. She has a thing for pink, anything ranging from her computer to her socks.
