the staff at Sammy's is a tight knit group. so, when one of our co-workers' wives announced she was pregnant, we knew right away we would be throwing a baby shower. we went with an owl theme: "look whoooooo's having a baby!". heather & i had so much fun making this shower happen!
Amy is the most wonderful hilarious girl ever, we all know she will be a great mama to her little boy.
it was oodles & oodles of fun.
& i finally posted a photo of me with my dark hair! good job me.

i just realized that the title of this post can be taken out of context a little morbidly. I assure you, t & i are not cannibals!
lately, t & i have been hanging out a lot with these dudes:
& these chicks:
one Sunday night we had the brilliant idea to take a truck-load of these babies:
& plop their bums into a deep fryer. YUM.
& when we got to taste them, there were smiles on every face.
fabulous idea, friends.

remember that cute For Your Basket day market that happened way back in August?
yeah... i don't either. anyway, here's a few photos from it!
Cocoa Bean handed out free cupcakes for the first 100 people. we were sure to get there early {fist pump!}
probably my favorite thing about flea markets/boutiques are just how each seller displays their merch. so much creativity goes into each little shop, i just love it!
my sweet friend evi was my accomplice on this trip. together, we helped talk each other out of the guilt of buying every adorable baby thing For Your Basket had to offer--since neither of us is close to being pregnant! evi, one day our husbands will understand.
Jennie Moss was my absolute favorite seller. She was so fun & hilarious, definitely a charming character. Check out her etsy sometime!
after For Your Basket, evi & i stopped by a killer antique shop off the side of the road. then we ventured home and gave our husbands lots of kisses & hugs {mostly to distract them from the baby merch that we bought}.
Anyone I've had at least one conversation with I consider my friend! I have a few good friends, and there is more than one person I consider my best friend. But there is one friend who always seems to be there, attachted at my hip. Jeanette Arnett is my bestest friend!
Although we are very different, we have almost too many of the same thoughts. We are both goody two-shoes in our own respects, and both just always seem to have something to sing about! Though she does her snowboarding and me with my fashion thing, we each just love to learn from the other! She does her ty kwon do and I do my synchro, but we just love to show eachother our moves. She is the peanut butter to my Reeses cup and I'll love her always! Today marks the third year of our bestfriendship, and gosh its been fun!

I have very talented friends! One of these prodigy people that surround me is a friend of mine named Jack Marple. He gave a show last weekend up in Scottsdale, a few friends and I went to support him! He was wonderful considering that he didn't perform with a band, it was all Jack! All original music and all acoustic. Very different from most of the other music showcased in the club that night, it was a lot of rock and screamo! Basically it was a night of great, local music. It was tons of fun!
