lighting 101

my brother-in-law is a photographer {check him out here} 

while in boise, he brought over his soft box and taught me a little something about lighting!

like, indoor photos should be near a north facing window, and bunches of other stuff.

happenings

+ photos one through three -my mediocre photography. it's fun snapping pictures, my favorites are of the Taylor Building (one) and the pink rose (three)+ moi, with the camera of said photography.{lace tank: F21 | cardi: thrifted | necklace: tilly's | jeans: some lady's garage}+ my first decorated cake! we had an amazing relief society activity, I am so proud that it didn't turn out looking like poo!+ my tan, blonde, blue-eyed husband got as x-box.
my tan, blonde, blue-eyed husband plays his x-box... which means he doesn't play with me. sometimes it's like one of those family sitcoms were the wife puts on a sexy red dress and struts around the living room while a baseball game is on. point. less. + my teeny weeny bowl of mac n cheese.i'm trying to cut down on my portion sizes, get healthy ya know?or all of the normal sized bowls were dirty. it's whatever.+ hello, this is me.& my bathroom sink.complete with bathroom sink stuff and dirty mirror spots. you're welcome?

nature walk

i took a walk to campus this week. it was warm & sunny & felt just like an arizona summer. there were definitely pit stains on my shirt by the time my walk was done. {yeah... let's keep that between us.}

i love seeing brightly colored trees! white, pink, purple and bright green...

i think i'll make it a goal to have only brightly colored trees in our front yard when t & i grow up!

and the award for the most exciting front yard goes to... {smile}peace & love

last weekend was filled with happy thoughts

i'll get around to posting about it soon-ish.

for now i really have nothing more to say, except for these:

last night trav, mama-in-law & i wasted three hours of our lives on this website.
it's worth it. if you're patient {which i'm not} or if you're into paying 5 buckos for an ipad. {which i kind of am}

i like art.

all kinds of art. {though surrealism freaks me out a tad bit.} i looooove giving my eyeballs & mind some happy time... art basically rocks.

this weekend trav & i enjoyed the magical city spectacle of Art in the Park: a tiny festival of local artists & sculptures. ohhhh how fab it was.

we saw cool metal sculpture of dogs and frogs, an ostrich and life-size moose. awesome!

&& we saw lots of oddly dressed people.
{a very old woman was clad in a full-body, velvet green jumpsuit.... it was hot.}

but, i've come to find that boise is chalk FULL of 'em {smile}

my camera is still out of commition. sorry.
