life & lemons

lemons

t & i went on a lemon kick last week.
& because the lemony godness is just too good not to share, i've dedicated a post to it.
so far i've made:
the lemon crinkle cookies are by far my favorite from that list. and guess what, all of these recipes only used up about four lemons! totally cray-cray. next on my lemon-lusciousness list are these sweet little white chocolate lemon truffles & of course, lemon bars. i just can't get enough people.
{& no, i am not pregnant. just currently lemon-crazed}

blogger faux pa

peacelovelauren

peacelovelauren

what a day i had! while thrifting I had the luck of finding a mungofreakinfabulous RED SKIRT! something i've been searching for for a very long time. and it fits. perfectly. it just needs a little ironing, of course.
oh & i did a blogger faux pa today.
i put veggies & cracked pepper on toast, took a picture of it, and fed it to my husband & myself for lunch.
it was just such a blogger thing to do.
i hope your day was as magical as mine!

we very extremely busy today, we lost the light before we had the chance to take outfit pictures. but i think this might suffice. can i just say how much i love the clarity of my pictures now? holy hannahs!
andddd here's what i made for dinner.

i like them, because i accidentally made them look like fancy french puffs.
when in reality i just stuffed them too full and couldn't get the crescents to close properly.
awesome.

country-fried-anything

i made curtains this weekend!
it may be lame but, i always feel a lot cooler than i am whenever i bust out my sewing machine.
it makes it that much easier to pretend i'm a cute, smart, fabulous little housewife {the ultimate goal, after all}.

also, i made country fried chicken for sunday dinner yesterday.
i thought it was hilarious because, in my house we were not country fried eaters.
our idea for a meal was potatoes from a box, meat from a box, vegetables from a can-- you get the idea.
but not any more! cowboys will eat country-fried-anything and, being married to a cowboy, i am learning to make practically everything from scrap.
it's a huge step, people.

a few things {about food}

  1. last night, we had our very first house warming party. sweet friends came and gave us (& the house) warm little tingles all over. house warming = success.
  2. Dawn from Diary of the Jonses' came to our shin-dig, i love meeting blog friends in real life! she has the smiliest kids. oh. my. gosh.
  3. t & i will be spending the weekend in utah, we are peeing ourselves! not really. but we are excited. because utah means a roadtrip. and roadtrips mean bags of beef jerky. ohhhh yes.
  4. right now, we're binging on cookie dough to our heart's content. i like it. husband never eats cookie dough.
  5. i made these meatballs last night, with a few changes of my own. they were yummy!
p.s. i'm not sure why, but i'm in like with food today. i'm guessing it's all the cookie dough. or the fact that t is sitting beside me, and smells reeeeeally good. or that i'm just loopy. two of the three. anyway.
just cook already is my go-to website for fabulous recipes. i love these girls! each recipe is yummy and fits super well into my schedule. check them out!
