mooovin out!

moo. moo. moo. movin' out!

t & i are movin' on out of our apartment this week. hurray!
only thing is... we don't know where we're moving to.
the plan was to go back to school but, uh... school was mean to us. we didn't get in for january.
so... we've got no apartment, no university, no jobs.
i wonder what we'll do next?

trust me. i'm on the edge of my seat, too.
for now, we'll make due with fabulous in-laws & christmas in sunny arizona in six days! wahoo!

where do you think we should move to?
we're definitely up for a little adventure.
peace & love

oh & one more thing!
i'm now on bloglovin. i don't know what it means... but maybe you do?

it's like a castle, only way cooler.

trav & i visited the temple yesterday,
tuesdays are the very best of days, after all.
i love to see the temple! I love the peace that is all around and the many answers I receive to my many, many questions. & going with the husband makes it all the more sweet.

oh how i love the gospel! i am so grateful for the truth & blessings that surround me everyday.
yesterday i could just feel that Christ loves me, very much. i was a happy girl.

okay, so let's keep chuggin with that fashion thing.
scarf: anthropologie | top: downeast basics| vest: F21 | skirt: thrifted | shoes: thrifted

i like this skirt very much, because it makes me feel rather "mary tyler moore". and trav thinks his grandparents had an old couch that was made out of the same material, and i almost got offended.
but instead i laughed.
& then i ate the rest of his tootsie roll.
the end.

t & i are artists!

michaelangelo has nothing on us.
the friday after thanksgiving, travis & i felt very adventurous.
so as adventurers, we went on a walk.
here & there & everywhere we went,
until we ended up smack in front of the snow-glittered Capitol building.
a few snow angels later, we decided to build a snowman!
we started... but you know when your creative juices are flowing, and you look at your empty slab of marble, or blank canvas, or blob of snow, and you can just see what's supposed to be inside?
you do? oh good! now i don't feel so much like a dork.
well, our little blob of snow didn't say "man".
ours said "duck".

faaabulous!
we had so much fun with our duck for the evening.
& we think you should have some snow fun too!
so go outside & shiver this week {smile}
peace & love

on thanksgiving

we built the most sickety sick fort.
the young ones & i have been planning it for a while,
& a holiday seemed like the best possible excuse to ruin the family room.

it took a little while
but that's just because we had too much fun. {smile}

eventually, our castle -oh wait. fort- was complete.

& we lived happily ever after.
the end!

oh hai halloween!

oh haaaai!
halloween as a married girl is faaaaaabulous!
comparitively, last year looked a little like this:
me as a lonely mini mouse.
my date as willy wonka and not travis
travis as not my date, and a creepy vamp.
not cool.

but this year, halloween looked like this:
we were smurfs!
well, we were for one party.
then we ran out of blue paint.

the rest of halloween looked more like this:
yee haw!
three months in boise & i'm already a cowgirl. oh boy.

we partied hardy.
my favorite part of the weekend was learning that our man brett is officially-almost-engaged to tina.
i love tina.
um duh.

happy halloween from us to you! boooooo!
p.s. wear fake eyelashes next year, they are crazy fun.
plus when batting your eyelashes, travis gives 25% more kisses.
i couldn't complain. {smile}

visit to salt lake: continued

while in mormon country we stayed with my little oma, just near temple square.
it was lovely, she made us foooood!
kowbassi, sour kraut, fried potatoes & pea soup.
it was german and it rocked.

remember before how i said utah was cold?
well yes. it was cold.
oh, hello snow on my car. nice to see you!
my name is lauren & i am an eskimo!

my oma is a cute one. she's got lots of spunk to her.
everytime i'm with oma she gives me half of her apartment. no joke.
this round i scored uggs, a short pea-coat, a hand-knitted necklace, lumpy socks and lots of slices of banana bread. i guess cause we're the same size, and she's my grandma. LOVE. HER.
trav liked her too. he served in hungary, so they swapped european stories while i listened with a smile.
i love family.

last week after leaving albertons,

i made a wrong turn on my way home.
{there's so many dangflabbit one-way streets around here}
i got a little lost. but what i found was a cabillion (word? probably not!) times better.

i found fall.
say it with me. "oh oh pretttty!"

little arizona girls like me think we know what fall is, but we don't.
fall is when you eat too much candy & a month later, you eat too much everything else.
fall may also have included ditching the shorts for pants, but never the flip-flops. the flip-flops stayed.

but oh-ho-ho was i wrong: fall is beauty, everywhere.
oh. my. goodness. dare i say it, but i'm starting to fall in love with ye olde boise.
& yes, i did dress up to go grocery shopping. sue me. {giggles}

bee tea dubs, last night trav made us an exquistitely gourmet salmon dinner under candle-light.
it was fetching awesome!
sometimes it really cheezes me off that he's a better cook than i.
but not last night. holy hannahs.
anyway,
i hope you have a fall-type day!

"good morning princess!"

mmm yes. good morning to me.
my sweet husband made me breakfast in bed.
because he is the BOMB like tick tick
& because he loves me. mmm!

please excuse my shame,
i get kinda "buuutidon'twannagotopier1withoutshoooes" type o crazy in the morning time.

have you ever been given breakfast in bed?
doesn't it rock!?

we just got a letter

trav & i have been in the brick house for a little while now
though for some reason, our mail usually gets lost on its way to our little apartment
but no more.
t & i got our first letter today!
our mail miracle came in the form of a wedding announcement from a couple of hotties
Amy & Roman
 mmm they're delightful.

& it's presh she used a photo of them as the envelope seal.
tre presh.
yes i know, the picture quality stinks. it's hurting me inside, too.

the adoable little sucker is magneted right to our fridge
spreading love & kissy feelings all over my kitchen.

today was grand!
though i have a headache.
today i learned how to make myself a blog button!
& that pepper jack grilled cheese is spic-ay good. probably better than that "grilled cheezus" off Glee. cha.
have a nice day!

this morning,

image via weheartit

this morning trav & i hit up the farmer's market.
it was a village of people, pretty things to look at & good things to eat.
we stuffed our faces with stroppwaffels {basically a Dutch caramel/waffle sandwich}
& it ROCKED.

then we acted like 5 year olds,
i sat on the longboard, very super-woman like
& he pushed me home
{smile}

fall makes me happy.

a walk in the...street.

trav & i live in the north end.
north end = the ultimate in cool
it's filled with coffee shops & pizza parlors & hippie type young people.
& you can't go a day without seeing one of these:
yep. totally power ranger.

on Tuesday nights in the north end a street fair magically appears on 8th street.
holla!

here are some documents of our adventure:
this photo captures my dislike for at-arms-length photos.
so boring. hate them. ewww.

& so, in my revolt against at-arms-length photos,
i set up the camera on a nearby parked car
& ran over to trav, flinging my arm in his direction to hug him for the picture.
instead, i thwacked him right in the adam's apple. KO!
hahahha sorry trav.

yes, you can see up my skirt.
{i'm over it.}

moving on!
we tried samples of things here & there,
& i tried some super spicy buffalo sauce
which i regretted.
oh well!

have a peaceful day!

don't be jealous.

we recently ate at Red Lobster.
because we're an old married couple! c'mon. where else would we go?
haha! because we had a saweeet coupon and because, i've never seen a lobster before.
well, i've seen them alive. All creepin' around in their little cage...
they put the GROSS in grocery stores.

but apparently they're yummy.
and BATHED in butter.
& mama likes butter.
mmm.

trav got the endless shrimp.
& our waitress gave us extra servings to take home! good waitress. good.

& here's little me.
with a little LOBSTER! oh baby.
it tasted like chicken.
really good, ocean-like chicken.

have a cute day!

pikabo is a small cowboy town

like really.
on our roadtrip there we saw a bloated cow aside the road,
just chillin, all dead-like.
yeeesh.

oh oh & we stopped by a fish hatchery! billions of fishies swimming left & right!
it's like that scene in Finding Nemo, when all the fishies are in a net
but better. cause this was real!
they were beautiful, shimmering colors of blue, purple & green
i would hang them all up on my wall
if that weren't so morbid.
ha!

the reason for our travels to pikabo was for Lacey & Tony's wedding.
a picture perfect outdoor wedding with AMAZEBALLS food.
basically, i went back for thirds.
& their DJ was uhh-mazing, he even had que-cards that said, "applause" & "louder" on them.
totally useful.
& then the music started, and trav & i danced the night away.
we jammed all night with his extended fam.
i like being married. {smile}

i'm a girl that likes to shop.

& shop & shop & shop.
like really! i own 37 pairs of shoes & it rocks.
thrifting is a thirst that cannot be QUENCHED!
& want to know the new super secret awesome thrifting-type shopping thing Trav discovered for me?
couponing. cha! coupons!
we clip coupons now & it's POWER RANGER!

here's our organizational hotness: all of our lovely coupon clippings
mmmmm.
feel the savings.
my phone has stinky picture quality. srry!

see those frozen pizza boxes in the cart?
10 boxes for $0.83
yes, 83 cents.
booyah!

srsly. i'd hop on in.
here's a few sites to help you get started,
 if you wanna be power rangers, too. {smile}

the shopping nanny
discount queens
the krazy coupon lady

they sprinkle with savings' bliss.
mmm.
happy savings!

i got my G's

& they feel goooooood.
i loved everything about today
oh. my. goodness.
i just loved everything about today!

here's me, fresh out of the distribution center.
the smile is for every good feeling i had trying temple dresses.
the thumbs up is for the BEST shopping experience of my life!
minus the ring shoppin.
that was also hecka tight.

& here's my twin brovs & i.
our first time through those revolving doors!
as twins, we share kinda everything.
today was the sweetest thing we've ever shared between us.

oh how i adore this gospel!
my testimony has been strengthened a hundredfold
& tonight i've learned even more of this gospel i hold so dear.
great balls of fire.
i can't wait to go back.
again, and again.

the church is true.
the church is TRUE.
& i know it, with everything that i am.

trav & i are going to the temple every tuesday from now till the end of time.
basically.
{giggle & GRIN}

i'm not coming back to rexburg.

umm. hi.
this post is mainly to explain to my room girls why i'm not coming back to BYU Idaho in the fall, although that's been the plan since april. i love rexburg & all of the lovelies that live there, & the spirit that is all over campus-- but it's not right.

for the soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs., rexburg is only a financial sinkhole because- let's face it- we won't find jobs.
too many students, too little town.
education-wise, rexburg has nothing for us. his anesthetics isn't even offered there & i can learn to be a kick-ace writer from somewhere else.

in boise, trav has a plan. he knows where our brand new little family is going & how to get there.
i'm so lucky to have a man with convictions. i'm so lucky to have fallen in love with a man who strives to make the best for his family. i'm so lucky to have fallen in love with a man whose kisses make me say, "wooooooHOOOOOO!"

i will miss my most favorite friends, dearly. but we will visit, and i will sleepover! & i will come to devotional & squeel about how awesome Tuesdays are, & i will wear flip-flops when it's too cold, & i will talk to your fishes like an absolute loon,  and i will pass around chocolate chips like they're popcorn, & i will fall asleep a little too quickly on the couch, and i will be overjoyed to see you, every time. i'm still excited for fall.

& i am excited to marry a man who'll take care of me.
